What is Andrology?
Andrology is a medical discipline dealing with men's health, and particularly in problems connected with the urinary and genital systems (infertility, sexual dysfunction, inflammations, neoplasm). Andrology is literally the study of a man (Greek andros, man). It is the male counterpart of gynaecology. Andrology is mainly concerned with issues of male reproductive health, including infertility and sexual dysfunction. Andrology, however, may also deal with urological issues that are specific to males, as well. A specialist who concentrates in this medical field is called an Andrologist.
